Gower Peninsula is around 200m west of London (3-4 hrs driving). It takes 90 mins driving from Cardiff.

Take the M4 to Jct 47 then via Gowerton, follow B4295 via Crofty, Llanrhidian, Landimore and down into Cheriton and up into Llanmadoc

Directions

From the M4

Leave the M4 at Junction 47, Swansea West (the junction where the Services, & McDonalds and Burger King are found). There are four roundabouts to negotiate.

1st roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Fforestfach and Gower (Swansea A483); 2nd and 3rd roundabouts take the 2nd exit (Llanelli A484); 4th roundabout take the 1st exit (Gowerton B4269) and proceed under railway bridge.

After the railway bridge, and at the traffic lights turn right onto the Gower B4295. Follow this peaceful road all the way through Penclawdd, Crofty, and Llanmorlais, to Llanrhidian then straight on to Oldwalls where you fork right (just after the Greyhound Pub) to Llanmadoc. After 3 miles or so, and through Cheriton then rise up the hill past the Britannia Inn and when you arrive at the top of the hill at the green Wagtails and Gower Cottage are found on your left on the green. Park in the front drive for Wagtails.

Why not pop into the local pub the Britannia on the way up the hill for a coffee at the  BRITANNIA INN

From Swansea

Take the A4118 through Sketty and Killay on to Upper Killay out on to the Fairwood Common and over the cattle grid. Turn right soon after for North Gower on the B4271 (signposted Llanrhidian) and follow the road for approximately 8 miles. Ignore the turning for Cefn Bryn/Reynoldston and bear right at the severe bend, then after another mile turn left at Llanrhidian (Heronstone Esso Petrol Station on right). Turn left, then continue west for half a mile and at the Greyhound Inn at Oldwalls, take right hand turning to Llanmadoc/Landimore. Continue west for just over 3 miles and after 3 miles or so, and through Cheriton then continue back up the steep hill towards the village and pass the Britannia Inn which is on the right. When you arrive at the top of the hill at the green Wagtails and Gower and Middle Cottages are found on your left on the green. Park in the front drive for Wagtails.
